1982-1992 Air Force
1992-1996 Air Force Reserves and Civil Service
1996-2006 Georgia Air National Guard Tecnician ,medically retired
2011-2014 Dept of Defense civil service instructor

don’t have enough time to put all deployment and campaigns.

1981 to 1985 Security Specialist. Ramstein and KI Sawyer.
The best part about being in SAC was the Giant Sword competition. I got to play OPFOR for the team KI was sending.

The worse thing about SAC, was that once you guarded Nuclear Weapons, they never wanted to let you go to another Command!

I am always somewhat surprised when someone thanks me for serving -
It has only been said to me in the last few years - relatively -- I think it was probably near 60+ years before someone thanked me - I was almost speechless --

What you did was no small thing. You deserve thanks as much or more as most the rest of us.

Im in a similar boat with the career. How does it work with retirement? I have 8.5 active and currently finished year 3 in the reserves. I have 9 years in the reserves left. Also, reserves is counting my cadet time saying I have 14 years towards retirement. Can I keep VA once reserve retirement turns on? You can PM me if you want.

Also, hi I’m bill.
