venison back strap

Rub it in.....rub it in our faces!! Best part of venison!!! I think I might thaw out some back strap!

My beautiful bride hooked me up yesterday morning.
11lb butt before putting the rub on it
I cook it on the weber for 9hrs in aluminum foil and when I tried to take it out of the foil it literally fell apart.
Talk about good, I almost walked to my parents house just to slap mama..
Do hesitate to post a recipe.....
I used this. Just substitute your "naturally harvested, free range, organically grown" venison for their farm raised crap.

It's kind of a unique way to prepare a tenderloin, and has a really wonderful flavor. I prepared it for a dinner party, and made sure to tell the guests that is was NOT beef. Does venison taste gamey? No, it tastes like venison. It's not supposed to taste like beef because it isn't. That's the biggest hurdle people have to get over when eating deer. Don't expect a pork or beef flavor. After a brief explanation, and a look into the recipe it was a huge hit.
