Just before midnight on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, the US Supreme Court blocked New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo from enforcing attendance limits at religious services. The vote is 5-4, with Roberts and the three liberals dissenting. Restrictions had been imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The case was brought forward by Catholic and Jewish groups. :thumb:

Another thing to be thankful for today.

Does anyone know whether or not this automatically applies to other states or not? Or is this just precedent and each state has to have its own lawsuits brought forward?

I believe this is Trump's lawyers plan, to set a precedent which states will follow suit.

each case will turn on the facts of its own case. Significant thing in this case was allowing unlimited people to attend certain events and places but limiting religious participants. There is a lot more to it than that, but point is that the specific facts of each case would control. However, this is precedent that lower courts across the country will use to hopefully make similar rulings.
