Attack rabbits, you can use them for defense of camp and also use them for steady food source. 4-5 moderately trained attack rabbits can handle many standard encounters. It's not like you'll have to fend off a team of Delta operators or a tank but for run of the mill raiders or thieves a small group of attack rabbits will destroy them.

Traps, snare wire. Lots of talk about things to hunt with. Traps can catch food while you sleep. Learn to trap raccoons....

Trapping is a skillset necessary to become a well rounded prepper for sure. There is no reason we shouldn't have tons of real snare wire, 110's, and 220's.
