Hey all, hopefully someone here knows someone who knows someone who can lead me in the right direction.

A friend of mine is a museum director, US Navy collector, and ship modeler in his spare time. He's looking for something rather rare: an inert 1.1"/.75 cal anti-aircraft shell that was used on these types of guns during WW2:

I've tried eBay and GunBroker to no avail. Thanks everyone.

Maybe you could get a schematic of the round and have someone turn them out of a dowel on a lathe?

It's the one on the far right.

Good luck! Gonna be a challenge!

I have the brass casing if interested. I collect big bore ordnance and do not need this case. A 1.1" is extremely hard to find, a holy grail for ordnance collectors. I have seen only one in ten years of collecting, at auction it brought about $200, and it was a loading/ feeding dummy. The projectile was factory crimped, and the case had three holes drilled in it.
