Trying to figure out more...late (end of) war P38

Appears to be April 1945 days before the French took over the factory. Where can I find out more? Thought some of you might have some good insight.

How do you go about grading condition?

Bore condition is a biggie, as all Nazi ammo was corrosive... I seen more eaten up barrels than good barrels in 35 years of collecting them.!!!
Actually, we captured the plant on 20 April 1945, and then turned the plant over to the French 24 hours later...

If you clean the rust out and there's still rifling, your good to go Few people shoot collector grade WWII or I guns nowadays.
