Truly pathetic "gun" substitutions in film....

Why is it in westerns, that when the camera moves to the bad guys on the roof tops with a lever rifle, they ALWAYS chamber a round? Do they not keep one chambered? I mean, they are after all, BAD GUYS....

There was TV show called "Cover Up" with Jennifer O'Neill and Jon Hexum as the leads. In 1984 he was playing around with blank loaded gun and accidentally shot himself in the head. It killed him...
It wasn't accidental. He thought that because they were blanks he could put it to his temple and pull the trigger.

Speaking of police tactics. Nothing was better than Jack Webb and Harry Morgan in Dragnet going into a house to get a shooter then see Jack pulling out his snubby and holding it in the air, motion to Harry and raise his eyebrows a quarter inch, then Harry realizes Jack wants him to circle around the room, call for backup, make a 3 course lunch, eat said lunch, wash the dishes and put them away, then sneak up behind the bad guy, and knock him in the back of the head to knock him out, all while Jack keeps the shooter busy by trying to get him to do the right thing and surrender before this whole things gets really ugly. Ahhhh....good times.

When watching chewing gum for the eyes, never think about what's in it. You'll just spit it out and not have any again, until you get very bored. A vicious cycle...
