Guess “bad day” depends on your position. I netted $950 on a put option on Tesla. Not life changing get rich money but for a small gamble dabbling not a bad return.

Dollar cost averaging makes sense math-wise, but it's also easy to deal with psychologically for some of us.

It's a lot easier to deal with ups and downs for me when I'm dollar cost averaging. If the market crashed right now I would shrug it off and keep investing.
