Time travel?

Conservation of energy makes time travel theorectically impossible. The same energy within our bodies cannot exist in two places at the same time.

There's nothing magical about the energy in our bodies. It's just bioelectrical, generated however we generate it...a little in the heart, little in the brain, whatever.

Technically you are always living in the past, as anything you see, then process in your brain already happened, and may no longer exist in another millisecond or so.

Conservation of energy, it cannot be created or destroyed. Therefore, traveling in the past or the futute the energy comprised within your body would exist in two places. One in your "present" body and the other scattered elsewhere albeit in different states depending on whether you were not born or had already died. Secondly, traveling in time would leave an absence of energy in the present. So, theoretically you have both created energy in the time you traveled to and destroyed it in the present by traveling in time. I believe if time travel is practical, it would need to use a medium of conscienceousness, such as transmitting information to yourself in the past or future. Physical time travel is not practical. Also traveling to parallel realities may give the impression of time travel, but would only be the information within our universe arranged differently.

Buzzzz...thanks for playing.tune in next week to see.....

According to the law of conservation of energy, energy cannot be created or destroyed; hence this energy cannot disappear. Instead, it is stored as potential energy.

Since energy can be store, theroetically it would have no bearing on time travel.

All matter above absolute zero has a measurable amount of energy, even a body at rest is in motion on an atomic level due to the kinetic energy of atoms bumping into each other. Their motion is in effect energy in motion or the definition of "heat". Everything in the universe has a measurable amount of energy attributed to it. For example, compare the energy within your body to a sand castle, each grain of sand is the thermal energy keeping your atoms bouncing around or "energy in motion". Now say you (the sand castle) traveled back 2 days prior to it being built. To do so you would have had to remove the sand the castle was made out of from the beach you left, likewise when you arrived on the past beach, there would be no sand castle, but all the sand that made it up would be located somewhere on the beach along with the exact same amount you introduced by traveling to before it was built. Now have you not taken energy away from the present and introduced it in the past (or future depending on which way you were going)? The amount of energy at that point in space time would change either negatively or positively by your time travel event and hence you have added energy that was previously not there and removed it from the existing amount. It is like balancing an equation, you cannot take away from one side and add to the other and expect it to still equal the same. In fact there is an equation for thermodynamic balance, called Bernoulli's equation, which is a balancing equation that energy in = energy out. It doesn't really directly apply to time travel as this subject matter is strictly theoretically, but it does underscore the fact that all energy must be accounted for and cannot simply vanish from a point in space time. Potential energy as a property of energy is only a piece of a whole and doesn't affect the conservation of energy's theoretical limitations on time travel.

But you are missing the point "I think"

Since energy can be store ,theroetically it would have no bearing on time travel.

If it is stored it would not have any relevance.
