A little chilly this morning with the clouds and breeze but not terrible. Crappie are biting sporadically. 4 in the boat and just lost another. Hope to catch a nice mess.

Nice morning. Caught 4 nice crappie, largest 14” and 4 medium bass. Everything was good until my seat back broke and I went off backwards into the lake. 30’ of water, 100 yards from shore, not a boat in sight. Boats too small to pull myself back in so I had to swim for it with the boat. Wear your PFD! Glad I had mine.

This isn’t recent, but it was caught on the 27 acre lake I live on. I couldn’t get it to fit in the live well on my way back to the dock. Managed to have the wife take a picture and release it alive and well. Caught it on a top water plug and it jumped a few times. I about **** my pants when it jumped and I saw how big it was.

Thanks. Yeah, just stiff and sore. Today was the last day I was fishing from that boat lol. Getting a 15 Jon boat tomorrow.

Were you in a yak?

No,it’s a Basshunter. 10’ long. 2 seats, live well, pretty stable for the most part. The seat back broke and flipped me out. Not stable enough to pull myself back over the side. Like this one. Great for small ponds. Little small for a 1200 acre lake.

Catfish are in on the bait die off as well lol. This guy hit a plastic swim bait as it was falling.
