Thinking about getting back into compound bow hunting.

I wouldn’t worry much about a 50# draw weight. That will get it done. I’ve gotten pass through shots on deer with my recurves ranging from 45#-55#. Those arrows had 100 grain brass inserts and 125-145 grain broadness on them. They would get the job done. Get your FOC set up between 12-15%, shoot as slim of an arrow as possible coupled with a good, cut-on-contact broadhead and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
