I've got an old flir RS32 that I traded into rather inexpensively a couple years back. It works well for what it is and it works very well for my type of hunting(hogs in open fields robbing deer corn). Would it be nice to have a newer unit with all the fancy bells, whistles, and better pic quality? Sure but I cant justify the cost to use. I had helmet mounted pvs14, Ir illuminator, ir laser etc and traded it, works awesome for driving, walking, fast shooting but doesn't hold a candle to scanning a 50acre field and spotting heat signatures on the other side or seeing em walking through thick planted pines coming towards you, etc
