Personal preference I would think. I'd lean toward the MAADI depending on the model, but that's probably bc I want one and I've never had one lol

Depends.

Top resale value will be determined by if the Chinese is a straight cut and has the proper type 56 furniture and Who was the Maadi imported by and what kind of furniture is on it.

Personally I would keep the Norinco as they are generally very smooth and well made AKs

Norinco is stock with the butthole stock and Maadi is an Intrac with laminated furniture.

Maadi is more valuable. I can't stand the Norinco thumbhole stocks so I would have to convert it to a standard stock if I kept it, which Chinese stocks are expensive, so you are probably better off keeping the Maadi

AKs used to be $300 guns. Even $700 is a rip off.

Depends on the AK but generally yes that's true.

If a Galil is only sort of an AK, than a piston driven AR is only sort of an AR

Thats one of the biggest pros of the AK, pistol verses D.I.

Your answer is no. A piston AR does not count. They don't kaboom underwater like a DI
