What the **** is going on in the AK market? Bakelite mags going for $150? Aluminum Waffles for almost $200? Bone stock Dildo AKs for almost $1000. Polytec Legends for $5k???

Holy hell. I know we are well past the days of $359 VEPRs but this is ****ing ridiculous!

I could get pretty much any (select fire) variant of AK from any country of manufacture for $300-$500 in Syria. Slightly cheaper in Iraq.....

This is certainly a US market only problem.

Because in the rest of the world it's basically a free market economy, even in countries that don't necessarily have free markets. Here in the US, purportedly the home of free markets, we are artificially constrained by a government that's SUPPOSED to safeguard free markets.

Not sure if you mean just on ODT or not, but not many are spending money on collector AK's on here. look at auction sites or gunbroker and it will blow you away. That's why I could care less if it sells on here or not. It seems like in the last few months buying has slowed down tremendously unless you are giving it away.

here is an example. This is an unconverted Saiga 5.45 that actually sold. I am sure plenty would tell me I am crazy to have mine listed at $2100. I don't agree.
