Man y'all are making me want to go out and splurge on one. I loved the one I had but the digital numbers are starting not to show up even with a new battery.

I did recently pick up a nice Suunto Core. If you like G-Shocks you may like these.

There's just something about the simplicity of that watch that I love. No frills, and just tells the time.

I like seeing someone with a “real” watch on. So many Apple watches and fitbits now that it means something when someone makes the choice to wear a real watch.

Yeah I hadn't worn one in 20 yrs or so but these are pretty cool. I'm guessing they are altimeters, thermometers and such as well?

I don't like digital watches but at the same time I can't deny the popularity of the G Shock. They have a huge following. And when I checked the G Shock section of the Casio site I quickly learned that they go as high as around $1200 .
