the 700 conundrum

so it seems that by purchasing a remington 700, using it and then selling it. it becomes more valuable.
seems a lot of them are showing up in stock trim for more than retail.
case in point, $450 used for the same one academy sports has for $379.95. over 800 for the sps 20" and an ad at the top of the page has them for $482 after $100 mail in rebate. am i missing something or did people pay way to much in the first place?
please research before you sell, it is yours and you can ask any price. but if you are outside the realm of reality, please dont clog up the forum...

I don't see the problem. Buy from Academy or the other site with the hunnerd buck off deal. The over priced guys will self police or put it "back in the safe".

they wont. you can make a very fair offer and they will stick to the hundo over retail. then they take offence to you even offering.
