ANY revolver I have or get goes through the range rod test. That pretty much confirms how timed they are...

I have that same Taurus 44 mag, lite, have shot a few mag rounds but mostly only load specials in it for recoil reasons.

Not everyone can afford a Sig or Glock. I’ve had the G2c, PT111 gen2, G3C, PT-92, and too many different revolvers of there’s to list. I have personally not had any problems with anything other then the PT111 which did FTF from time to time. For the money you really can’t beat a Taurus. I’ve never owned a hipoint so I couldn’t speak on their performance. I carry a Glock 30SF as my EDC but I do swap it up with a Taurus 617 or 686 from time to time. They also make the 8 shot 608 357 which is an awesome hunting revolver asides from being rather hefty.
