Wanting to take a silencer to North Carolina. What are the steps and what about the timeline generally speaking. I have about a month so if it takes longer than that it is a mute point, thanks.

Yeah you don’t have to send your tax stamp to anyone. And no paperwork, not like Firearms.
Suppressors don't require a Form 20 to be submitted. Only MGs and & SBRs (and DDs, I assume) need a Form 20 submitted.
As long as it's legal in both your state and the state to which you are traveling, I think you are okay. No notice or permission is needed. Not sure about states you might be traveling through though. I'd leave it hidden in the car through those states.

5320.20 for all but cans. You can fill out the online PDF and email or fax it. I thought they were on eforms but I just looked and don't see them. If you have a trust, make sure you have copy as well as the Form 4 copy.
