We were working in South Florida in the 70’s, friend was backing his work truck (big company logo) out of a driveway. Heard a thump, sees old man writhing in pain on ground.
Gets out thinking “Oh, man, I’m screwed”.
Thankfully, witness runs from across street saying he saw man slap side of truck with hand and fall down.
Buddy tells faker, “I’m fixin‘ to whup your azz, you old SOB. “Injured“ man jumps up and sprints away.
There was a large crew of us working there and almost every day somebody was trying to pull an insurance scam on one of us.
