Streamlight vs Surefire vs Olight

I have tried all of the above on long guns and handguns. My opinion is that Streamlight and Surefure are at the top of the heap.

Olight is OK but the features such as the switch operation is not on par with the others. Olight Lumens output seems to be overstated. Overall Olight is a serviceable light for both applications but I would personally opt for Streamlight or Surefire.

I have not tested any of these for claimed battery life.

Just my opinion, hope it helps if someone is on the fence or just wondering.

Nothing but Nitecore and Armytek for me. I've used them all and settled on those as the best for my needs in varying situations.

The key to all lights is the battery. Junk batteries = junk performance. Cheap eBay batteries from China are never genuine batteries and will never give you any performance near stated levels of the light manufacturers.

Batteries are certainly important. All the lights were run with the batteries supplied by the manufacturer. All were new.

I’ve beaten on streamlights for my job for 8 years, so I’m biased, it even gets used as a hammer sometimes. But these are stingers and not firearm based
