I was visiting a gun counter I used to work at today. The manager told me that the ATFr’s made a change to the definition of straw purchase. According to him, if my wife uses my credit card (she is an authorized user) to purchase a firearm and gives it to me, like a Father’s Day gift, the ATFr’s consider this a straw purchase.

Has anyone at FFLs or gun counters heard this also?

The law is subject to interpretation. I can see why they would say that. But a married couple is as one. That's why you won't see spouses subject to testifying in court for thier spouse. I agree with you guys, but we no longer live in a reasonable/ practical society. I really hope some day soon we get back to the basics but I fear that time may have passed
