I saw this strange cloud formation looking south about 10am this morning. Taken just south of Rome.

I saw some clouds with long slender streaks, almost like jet contrall , but different .I saw the apparent clouds in photos but to far west of me.

I saw some clouds with long slender streaks, almost like jet contrall , but different .I saw the apparent clouds in photos but to far west of me.

Those long slender ones are Cirrus clouds, they're being ripped apart by high winds.
(A good sign not to fly that high....)

It's called a hole punch or fallstreak. It's the same type of cloud formation the O'Hare airport UFO was blamed on but the pics of that UFO looked to artificial to be this.
