Pataks is great. I like that the European ladies working there can be surly as hell on a busy day, going nuts on a first time shopper who's a bit indecisive.

Agreed. The first time I went there, was a bit intense.
They remind me of the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld.

But you can’t argue with the quality.

I like to grill ribeye steaks because they're forgiving. Light coat of olive oil and Montreal steak seasoning. Let sit until the meat comes up to room temperature. Cook over coals at 500+ degrees. Do not overcook. Throw a pat of butter on top when you remove from grill.

Bones in Buckhead is 1.a
Not well known is a smaller steakhouse in downtown Buford called Bare Bones. I expected very little when I went there but it beat the pants off everything else in Atlanta besides Bones, and it may very well in the end.

I have done Capital Grille, Hals, Ruths Chris, Oak, Texas Roadhouse, Fogo, Chama Gaucha, Chops, Little Alley, Del Frisco's, and Mortons on the company dime for entertainment, which means no expense is spared. Bones in Buckhead and Bare Bones in Buford are miles ahead of the next by a fair margin.
