Usually it's 90 days after it gets published in the federal register. It can vary because they do have to respond to every 'unique' comment that's reasonable.

And who knows how many new felons this makes. Some of the existing braces are OK, while others aren't. Even worse, other features like sights, hand-stops and even weight (too much or too little) can automatically flip it to an SBR.

You could even be perfectly fine one day, add a magnified optic the ATF doesn't think is appropriate for a 'pistol', and suddenly be a felon for having an unregistered SBR.

I think the are simply trying to make a brace so much potential hassle and liability that people will simply stop buying them. You can be sure no manufacturer will be installing them at the factory as a lot of them have been.
 
there is about to be a Stock shortage...because once the brace is illegal too it wont matter either way...lol
I predict other things also being swapped out. The first one is expensive but the rest are free doctrine, lol.

People are fed up with this ****. They are finally assaulting the main stream.
