Sport card collectors

I used to years ago. I still have them. I got burnt out paying too much for the new stuff just to watch the value drop. Started collecting older cards of some of my favorite players from when I was a kid. I really enjoyed that!! I’ll still drag them out every so often.

My brother bought his first house with baseball cards. He had series and collections from the sixties up until about '85. Multiples too! Donruss, FLEER and TOPS were the only 3. The came the B.S. overload of shirt pieces, bat pieces and etc..... That was the downfall

I've been in and out of it over the years. Looks like it's gaining momentum again. Older, more rare cards are still the one's to go for. Graded cards get the most attention. Even some of the newer cards are getting attention, especially the certified autograph releases and certain rookies like Mike Trout, Freddie Freeman, Bryce Harper, etc. Again, cards need to be mint and preferably graded even on newer stuff.
