I have a foot long piece of 1/4 pvc pipe for things like this.

3/4” copper pipe worked for me. I’ll have to look at the pvc.

My bad, 1/2 inch. Cheap and you don't have to worry about bending or breaking it. I've had to use it on both the SpectreII and my TiRant 45 before. I just toss it in the bottom of my safe by the door for next use.

I had this happen with my Gemtech MIST a few years back. It was so stuck that nothing, not Kriol or Seafoam or regular Gun Scrubber would break it free.

I ended up sending it back to the mothership and they did something to get that shroud off. Since then I break it free every box of ammo or so, and leave it mostly unthreaded on the way home.

If I forget I've gotten pretty good at breaking it free with a small diameter strap wrench after hosing it down with Gun Scrubber and letting it sit for a while.
