I hooked up the panels to the inverter. I am making electricity. Really neat.

Here's a little tip I found regarding storage options. Look for for used Tesla or Nissan Leaf batteries on ebay. They are massive and can be repurposed for solar applications. Easily the biggest bang for buck if you have the aptitude
Gonna recharge my little 250W solar inverter today with panels. LOL. I have been its at 75% !! Been using it for my iphone. LOL

Anyone have a small solar set up they use at home? That feeds directly into Batteries? How long do Batteries stay charged? I am talking deep cycle batteries 12V.
24v 1500w bank and pv with 6 deep cycle battery. If I don’t stress it I can get 3 days out of mine with minimal power input from panels.
Tesla has announced a new battery design - the 4680. This maybe the way to go for your solar powered backup in the near future.

I may be adding a higher capacity solar generator to my Rockpals 250. Thinking about ice / snow and more hurricanes hitting metro Atlanta in 2021. It’s a perfect time to get prepared .
