So this cabin was a bath house with two toilets, a shower , 2 sinks, hot water heater , electric but it was neglected for year last and everything was broken.
The waste went into a gray water bucket in the ground and wasn’t a very good set up.
The inside was totally trashed as well as a lot of the exterior boards and roof.
For the past two weeks I gutted the interior, broke apart the block wall partitions between shower and toilets, chiseled out all the lumps in floor and walls as well as ran a grinder to smooth it out .
I replaced the roof purlins and steel.
Replaced the entire front wall and reframed it.
Built a new awning overhang, replaced the entire front wall board and battens and painted the battens prior to installing them so no paint marks on whitewashed boards.
I borrowed a door from the main cabin as well as a wood slider window and framed it in.
I transferred the door glass from the old door to new door and had to cut the new door for the glass and trim....never did that before but freehand cut it with a circular saw like butter.
Got everything painted, dryloc paint on all the block inside and now out prior to top coat paint.
Just finished half of the furring strips on the interior walls today.
The floor is going to be DMX underpayment , T&G plywood subfloor and pergo that I got for free.
Walls will be knot pine T&G all the way up to the peak of roof.
Plan on bunk beds and other hand made furniture.
gonna be offgrid solar/ battery bank with an outhouse.
I spent 12 hours a day up there for the past two weeks , no help.

great work, AWESOME place to go & hide out!!

Oh yeah.
Can’t wait till I get the solar set up going but I ran out of play money.
Cool thing is my neighbors keep an eye on the place and they’ll scare off any weirdos.
I always call them when one of my kids bring their family to camp in the other cabin cause they’ve been known to ask people what they’re doing there.....I got no problem with that.
