kilbasa an kraut
I used to eat this in Brooklyn all the time.
Had german knockworst and kraut for dinner last night. I have to moderate because I could eat that several times a week otherwise.
Rinse the kraut with water a few times. Dry it. Fry up bacon. Add kraut and onions. Throw in a onion with a stick of butter.....
I always rinse the Kraut first.
We do red links and kraut a couple times a year at deer camp.
I came here from the Netherlands when I was nearly 8. My Mom served kraut with Kielbasa and boiled potatoes and Aue Sous gravy all the time. Love it!
We have kraut & sausage few times a month, we don't rinse the kraut and we always toss in a lot of chopped onions while the kraut is frying.
