This reminds me of the trailer-park mattress by dumpster killing in Texas a couple of years ago.
Old man with a pistol, son about age 20 with a raptor-type short shotgun, and the neighborhood crazy man screaming and swearing his head off.
Finally ended when the crazy guy's girfriend provided him with a baseball bat, and he went to swing it and got himself shot to pieces.
All over whether a dirty old mattress should be put in the trailer park dumpster or stacked next to it.
Bottom line: Walk away from crazy people.
(P.S. The armed citizens who shot and killed the crazy dumpster defender spent months, maybe closer to year, in jail, unable to make bond, and they're still facing a murder trial. Not a good outcome for them no matter what happens at the trial later.)
