Small engine repair in Jasper or Canton

I’ve a Stihl kombi head that starts fine but cuts off as soon as I throttle it. Can some body recommend a good repair shop. I moved to the area last year and I’m too far away from my old repair shop.

The "Repair Barn" outside of Canton over by Cherokee gun and pawn is a good place, fixed up some tillers for me for a good price and fast.

If you’ve done the basic fuel, filter, plug, primer bulb check you may as well replace the carb. That’s going to be what the mechanic is going to do.

If it will throttle up at half choke put a new carb on it.

Agro pro in Jasper should have your oe stihl carb.

If it will steady run at idle you can try adding startron to the fuel to clean the carb out slowly working the throttle from idle to the point it nearly dies until it revs up fully. Otherwise replacing the carb is the best option. If you go the carb route find the correct part number then check Amazon and eBay for the best prices
