43000 people and I'm the only one that cooks Brunswick stew ....... Bunch stinkin yanks. Lol
I'm looking for my Grandad's to post up. He actually made Brunswick STEW and not Brunswick soup like so many do now.
Had potatoes and no corn. He would substitute goat or catfish sometimes and it was outstanding.

I have tried Brunswick stew hundreds of times because being a Ga boy I feel like I'm required to like it, but I just can't get into it. I keep hearing "oh you just haven't had good Brunswick stew yet..." So then I try their "good" Brunswick stew and it taste alot like Brunswick stew.

If I can find mine I will post. I am a connoisseur of Brunswick stew. Your's may be good...but mine's better! :-)

Don't know if you guys are familiar with it or would even want to try it, but my wife uses a recipe for Brunswick Stew where all of the ingredients come from a can, and it's honestly as delicious as any other I've ever tasted...........
One can Castleberry's BBQ pork
One can Castleberry s BBQ beef
One can Swanson's Mixin' Chicken
Two cans cream corn
One large can crushed tomatoes
Season with Tabasco or Texas Pete to taste

Mix all ingredients together in a Dutch Oven or Crock Pot and let them slow cook until ready. It's an awesome and easy recipe to try especially on a good cold day. Remember to have some white bread ready to "sop" it up with. Enjoy!
