Shortage of everything?

Add another thing to the list. I was just told where we're getting concrete from is out of cement. The slab l was going to pour on Tuesday is now set for May 14th. Lumber being high but available hurts. Not being able to get the thing that pays me cuts to the bone.
Lumber- Costs have gone up 5 fold this last year, lots of timber, but no production at the mills, no workers.
Concrete- Cement is gone, no workers to produce. Slab scheduled for yesterday is now May 14th.
Hotels- No staff
Food shortages- no staff to work the plants to process
Insulation- No spray foam means no refrigerators, freezers, boats, etc.
No one wants to work. Restaurants offering $18/hr to run a register, no takers.
Yet the Feds want another stimulus and more unemployment benny's.

Wheres the lumber shortage? The HD and Lowes I frequent are stacked to the gills with lumber. Not saying there isnt one somewhere. Just not where I live.

There are containers in the US. The shortage is in chinaWow! Glad I grabbed a container last summer.

True..I didnt look at prices but Lowes had so much lumber they are storing it outside covered w tarps.
Had a fence installed that took 12 weeks after the quote to get the materials.
