I have a bit over 4 acres in Elbert County. I'm rural out here, nothing but farms on one side, water on the other. Anyone know the rules out here for shooting on your own land? I fully intend to play it safe, using a set of stacked downed pines on an upward incline as a backdrop, but I don't want to break any laws.

Gotcha. It would be great to hear from someone out this way. I definitely hear gunshots every time I come up, and I'm thinking it's probably ok, but I don't want to freak out the locals or piss off the Police the first time I shoot an AR, lol.

Dude you live in the sticks... Hell they shoot all night long in downtown Atlanta.....

You live in the "country" in Georgia and you're worried about RULES? Obviously, you're not a local!
Lol. I'm in the Snellville/Loganville area. I'm building a house where I bought the land in Elberton. Would rather make friends than enemies out here. I'm good with the permit office, but I'd like that to transfer to the local constabulary as well.
