Ship Revolver In Georgia ?

Short answer.
You can't legally ship USPS if you're not licensed.

But there is no federal or state law prohibiting you from using a common carrier like FedEx/UPS to send a pistol to a resident of the same state.

Common carriers have their own policies (like all pistols must be overnight shipped) breaking those policies may have legal consequences.

My advice, package the item bomb proof, fully insure it in case they lose it, and ground ship it FedEx/UPS.

In state Ga resident can ship a handgun to an in state Ga resident via common carrier-ie UPS or FedEx
Have shipped and received this way, but its a hassle and expensive. Last one I bought and the man sent cost 50 to 60 bucks IIRC
Yeah, it's dumb they make you overnight it.
The problem with that is, if you send me a pistol from the metro atlanta area to my shop it doesn't matter if you choose overnight shipping for $50 or ground shipping for $15. The exact same delivery driver is gonna give me that package the next day either way.

OOoops yep, has to be overnight.

May a nonlicensee ship a firearm by common or contract carrier?

A nonlicensee may ship a firearm by a common or contract carrier to a resident of his or her or her own state or to a licensee in any state. A common or contract carrier must be used to ship a handgun.

In addition, federal law requires that the carrier be notified that the shipment contains a firearm or ammunition, prohibits common or contract carriers from requiring or causing any label to be placed on any package indicating that it contains a firearm and requires obtaining written acknowledgement of receipt.

[18 U.S.C. 922(a)(2)(A), 922(a)(5), 922(e) and (f); 27 CFR 478.30 and 478.31]

Pretty much spells it out. You can but not through USPS. UPS or Fedex policy that I have seen says they will not ship a handgun if you don't have and FFL or if it is not going to an FFL but that is not law, just the carriers policy.

Not sure about a pistol, but I know for a fact the LOCAL UPS store will not accept ammo for shipping. They said it must go through a hub.
Do not understand why. Same trucks and drivers handle it.

That is stupid, I used to be friends with local UPS store and she would do it for me. She closed and now I have to go to the hub, which is fairly close but only takes packages after either 3 or 4. PITA!!
