Safe on concrete floor in basement

Keep off concrete!! I stored my safe in a basement while building our house direct contact with concrete and had bad results. In new house have a slab and put plywood and a piece of vapor barrier down and no problems.

Moisture barrier. I used exterior plywood and a piece of "wrap" to have a seal between the metal and concrete. Left my safe and contents in sons basement while we were building and made me sick to see the rust when I moved and reclaimed the goods.

There was a bunch of mold and rust under mine that I left on the concrete basement floor for years. I don't think the safe was really damaged, but only a matter of time. A moisture barrier is good.

I use plastic lattice under mine, about .25 thick. You can get in strips at HD. Also acts as a slide to let you push it back before you bolt it.
