Are the Electric Stick Humidifiers effective, or just stay with the Cans?

I like the golden rod , but I use the rechargeable dehumidifier with it particularly in warm months .the golden rod type devices , as I understand it, create air movement .

I use a 36in golden rod and have never seen my interior humidity over 60% even in the summer months. The safe is in a non climate controlled area fwiw

I've used a Golden rod for a long time. They last about 10yrs and then you'll have to buy a new one.

I have used nothing but ‘Golden Rod’ in my safes for the last 30 yrs….give or take.
NEVER a problem.

Are they the ceramic-enclosed low-heat element kind that have the regular E-26 type light bulb screw-in threads? I remember decades ago we used those over on Okinawa in enclosed spaces to remove humidity.

Never mind...I looked them up..... seems like they'd work fine..

Yeah they are just metal cased. I assume they have a heating element inside of some sort. They seem to get warm and are held in place by some clips. You can get them close to any length.

I run a rod in my big safe and I also use the plastic containers, actually get them from the dollar tree for $1… same brand as AO and 1/8th the price. The rod is definitely working but the containers still fill up every other month. Don’t know why but I know I’m getting moisture out.

I keep one of the dollar tree boxes I mine and just swap when full.
