One morning of steel challenge shooting under my belt and I'm already fantasizing about the gun I should purchase to shoot steel rimfire matches...

Anyone own or ever shoot a Ruger Mark IV 22/45 LTE? They look mean as well to me...and would be easy to throw an optic on...

I have the tactical version with the volquartsen competition kit and fiber optic sights I set up for steel challenge but haven’t shot in one yet. I imagine the lite would be even better. They are great pistols, highly recommend the volquartsen kit, night and day better.

I've got one that I like just fine. Been dealing with some mag / ammo issues with it lately.

The 22/45 and the S&W Victory are both pretty popular for Steel Challenge.
All of the Ruger MK pistols I've been around are terrible when they're dirty and since they're a little aggravating to field strip, most folks don't help em clean

I have one that’s a factory TacSol MK3, not a frankenbuild, it’s been 100% reliable. And as jpm2953 jpm2953 said it’s fun with a dot.
