The sports world lost a true icon last night. Never was a FSU fan, but always liked and respected coach Bowden. Fly high coach , you will be missed.

He was brutally honest in failure as well. In an interview, Bobby was asked "have you ever lost a season opening game? He replied, OH YES! He went on to say that FSU routinely scheduled a "patycake" for their first game of the season knowing the odds were heavily in their favor, a win would start them out high in the polls. He went on to say that in 1989, a then mostly unknown Quarterback from Southern Mississippi named Bret Farve literally "picked them apart" that day. It was the way he said it that made it stick in my mind.
