Removing paint from plastic stock

Back when I was a model railroader, I had numerous occasions to strip paint off of plastic locomotives so I could repaint them in a different railroad paint scheme. Brake fluid worked the best, but there was a rare occasion that it would attack the plastic, maybe not a danger in this case, but something to be wary of anyway. The other stripper I used was denatured alcohol it wasn't quite as effective as brake fluid, but a lot less likely to attack the plastic. I hope this helps, and good luck with your project!
