Any insight on this thing? Just got it from my grandfather who got it from his dad so my great grandfather. I’ve looked them up and can find similar but it’s stamped Remington and browning and resembles the A5. It said the 12 gauges started at serial 500k and up with an s in front. This has no S and starts at 425k so it’s not making sense. Just looking for some insight as when I was young I put a 3 inch shell and broke something internally and wanting to get it fixed but can’t find anything about it.

That shotgun was not made for a 3” shell. When you say you broke something what is the gun doing?

I’m aware of that. It must of been mixed in with my 2 3/4 loads but was the same color and same dram length. And when you pull the trigger nothing happens. No click no nothing and no pressure on trigger

Based on the pictures provided it appears to be a
Remington Model 11 Sportsman, which were produced from 1931 until 1949.

The 425,xxx serial number suggests 1938.
