Update. I got him to explain it to me in dumb ass terms. He was using a hand press. The one that ignited blew back into the primer tray

He needs to NOT use gorilla skrength when priming cases.
If it's not going in easy, stop squeezing.

OMG........buying ammo at a $ 1.50 a round seems pretty reasonable to me compared to dealing with that.
