Red-winged Blackbirds

There are hundreds in our back yard. Last year they were here on the 16th of January.
Looks like they picked the yard clean.

I've had a few but nothing like that. They must really like you.

I’ve only ever seen them near lakes and never in numbers like that. Neat

Are they Red Wing Blackbirds, or just Black Birds?

I’ve had thousands of starlings stop here in the winter but never redwings.

I don’t see the red markings either

I always remember seeing Red wingerd black birds around water, lakes and such

Got a flock outside my window picking everything they can off the ground right now.

I read recently an a about food plots , specifically grain crops . The warning was that a flock of migrating blackbirds will wipe it out.

I’ve always heard.. something to the effect of if the black birds are on the ground a snow is coming
