Recommendations for Very High-End 1911s

Above about 2k it’s all about finishes. I have a few Baers, and have shot most of the high end stuff.
Love my TRS with mammoth grips. The grips cost more than most people’s EDC if you’re trying to flex on the poors.

my next high end will be more Baers or an Alchemy.

if you want to shoot it sometime you’re welcome to.

I think the Dan Wesson's are kind of the perfect mix of quality and value. Not crazy expensive and something you could feel comfortable carrying without too much worry, but still a huge step able the 'regular 1911s.

I've shot a Wilson and a Les Baer, and they are extremely nice, but I'm not sure that additional increase in fit and finish is worth the thousand(s) extra dollars.

As most have said there are plenty out there to drool over. I've had Nighthawks that I love and some that felt like a Kimber. Ed Brown builds a fantastic 1911 and their Special Forces models can be had on the used market for a "reasonable" amount.

I have heard and seen enough about Cabot's "artful approach" that I am hesitant to take that dive. I have a couple of Alchemy irons that are sweet (debatable about value at their price)

I always come back to Baers. I love them and have never had a bad experience with any of them....

Seems like above the quality of a Dan Wesson, Les Baer, or Ed Brown (along with some others mentioned in this thread) the returns are diminishing. Thanks for all the input everyone!
