Need some input if anyone has ever messed with one of these. Came across it in a storage unit helping a friend clean out. Had a good bit of rust on the barrel and on the tube up top that appears to basically be a support for the whole swivel action setup. I want to strip it and refinish. At least do most of the prep work if possible. The action was frozen when I started but after pulling the trigger assembly it all appears to be working.
Any ideas on how the bolt should come out? The cocking knob will turn about a quarter turn freely back and forth but doesn’t really feel threaded. Attached a few pics and a diagram of later models made by ozark. This is a rau stamped model from el dorado Kansas so one of the earlier versions. There is no pin on the knob to drive out.
Can anyone recommend a gunsmith on the east side for bluing / stripping this the rest of the way if it ends up needing a press?
