Question on Open carrying

What is a CCW?

I think states that require a permit to conceal call it a CCP. Those were typically states that had open carry without a permit. I think Virginia had that law (no permit to open carry, permit to conceal). Florida used to have the CCP, but you were required to conceal it. I think they changed that after a few bad run ins with cops. Georgia is a GWL, Georgia Weapons License. Some folks call it a "toters permit". It is your permission slip to carry a handgun on your person any way you want. I have had one for about 26 years. Not longer after I got mine, I specifically asked the probate judge if we had to conceal it, and she told me no, it was a weapons license and there was nothing in the law that said you had to conceal it.
