I saw a particular Gun posted I've been looking for a while(Monday)

Messaged the guy selling it, told him I would take it, cash in hand, ready to meet

He said the first time he was available would be this afternoon(Wednesday), that worked with my schedule so we agreed to meet up then.

Messaged him last night(Tuesday), he didn't respond

He messaged me this morning(Wednesday), saying "he meant to get back to me quicker, but another guy who was closer outbid me"

Has this been happening often? I've done a fair amount of buying/selling/trading here over the past few years and this is the first time I've seen this happen.

Unfortunately some folks are doing auctions in PMs where they take a higher “bid”. It’s one thing to sell to someone simply because it’s more convenient in term of time or distance. But some folks do this but most are smart enough not to flaunt it and tell you you were outbid.
