I'm considering building some custom shelves in a room in my house.
I had this idea that since lumber is so expensive, I could build a frame out of Schedule 40 (Or 80).
When I get the frame in, install some wood slats for the shelves. Everything gets painted when its done. I think it might look cool.
What I need to figure out is the load bearing strength of a PVC frame vs wood.
Any thoughts?
