Prostate exam

Merge this thread with the one with taking 4 newbies to the range. Outcome is about the same.
That's Colonoscopy....
My doc said I need a prostate exam as he was pulling on a latex glove...I giggled and said "you're going to have to go to California for that, Mine is in a lab jar in Cali, now SLOWLY remove the glove and the grin"........

I ask my doctor during a recent prostate exam to please take off his ring during the exam, his said "that's not my ring you feel, it's my watch"
Well Brother Peanut Butter has a very valid point. I am 71 years old, and have had about a dozen fraternity brothers...so far...with prostate cancer. All have survived except one.
THE ONE BROTHER THAT IS DEAD, POO-POOED THE IDEA OF A FINGER EXAM. NO DOCTOR IS GONNA DO THAT TO ME.
He was a macho man, Viet Nam veteran, All-State basketball player. He ended his life whimpering like a little boy for pain meds in the hospital after the cancer had spread to his bones. Not a good way to go. Not very macho.
Get an annual PSA blood test and a digital exam too. I go to a specialist, for the finger wave, I want a Doctor that does this on a regular basis, not once a week like your primary care doctor. I want an expert.

.....and use your prostate daily, with a special person or by yerself. Its a muscle you know!

Alright here it is for all those who are on the anal retentive fence!!! The prostate exam is nothing .....put your elbows on the table and get r done. If you get some weird enjoyment out of it, we won't tell your Wife!! At 50 get the colonoscopy done, I had my in June of this year at 51. They found a pre-cancerous tumor that was blocking 50% of my colon. 42 staples and 18 inches less of colon at 5 months I now feel better than I have in years. No more bloated up feeling and I have been constipated for 10 years and God willing in will get a few more years, maybe see some Grand kids. It's not a laughing matter (unless the prostate exam thrilled you , then we will laugh about it here.....but we won't tell your wife we swear!!!) So Man the F!!** up and do it!!!! You owe it to your family!!
