I was watching a few Alien movies on cable recently and I decided to do a little internet research on Prometheus. Basically what was suppose to happen years ago was they wanted to do a prequel that showed where the aliens came from, a background story on them. Sigourney Weaver was to be in it as well. A script was written but was reworked and years later you have Prometheus. From what I read it wasn't exactly what Ridley Scott wanted. I think they are planning to do a second prequel.

I saw it. It was ok. I was hoping for more of the "Aliens" though.

Sorry to be the buzz kill....but I was some what let down by this one.... great special effects....just lacked substance.... I would of been ok waiting until it came out on red box.....

Wife and I went to see it....waste of money! We like scifi but this one just didnt cut it. Honestly, I wouldnt watch it for free lol
